The Canton Varsity Boys Basketball team swept the season series with Northeast Bradford following a 53-46 road win on Saturday, February 1.
Canton trailed 20-15 after the opening quarter but used a 14-7 run in the 2nd quarter to retake the lead at 29-27 at the half. The Warriors then held the Panthers to just 6 points in the 3rd, while scoring 11 points of their own, to pad their lead to 40-33. Canton held on to that margin through the 4th quarter as both teams scored 13 points each.
Three Warriors scored in double figures on the night, led by Isaiah Niemczyk with 19 while Zach Rentzel and Ben Knapp added 10 points each. Reese Allen added 5 points, Caiden Williams pitched in 4, Cooper Kitchen had 3, and Tyler Jannone rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
Andy Crown led Northeast Bradford with 14 points.
The win improves the Warriors' record to 10-9 (8-6 NTL Small School Division) and keeps them in the hunt with three games, two division games, remaining on their schedule. The team is back in action on Tuesday, February 4 against Williamson.
