A late lay-up by NEB doomed Canton in their 67-66 loss to the Panthers during NTL Division-II boys' basketball action Thursday.
NEB's Lucas Crown made the bucket with four seconds left, overcoming a 22 point effort from Canton's Isaiah Niemczyk.
The Warriors led 34-32 at the half but were down by one after three, 52-51. In the fourth the Warriors hit three 3-pointers only made six field goals total, and had no free throws, as the Panthers eked out the win.
Caiden Williams finished with 17 points while Cooper Kitchen netted 11. Tyler Jannone added seven, Conner Foust had three with Weston Bellows, Brendan Matthews and Gavin Morse each netting two points apiece.
Canton travels to Towanda on Saturday.
