Canton used a 5-run fifth to down NEB 8-4 in NTL baseball action.
Carter Route (2-for-4) had two doubles, 2-RBI and two runs scored to lead Canton, with Cam Bellows (2-for-4) and Evan Landis (2-for-4) also having multi-hit games. Both of them scored, with Bellows also knocking in a run.
Cooper Kitchen (1-for-2), Joel Schoonover (1-for-3), Hudson Ward (1-for-4), Hayden Ward (1-for-4) and Brendan Matthews (1-for-3) all had hits. Matthews scored twice as the two Wards crossed home once. Weston Bellows and Schoonover each had an RBI.
Canton used four different arms as Weston Bellows went the first two innings, allowing four walks with two strikeouts, one hit and two earned runs.
Connor Baillie went the next three innings to get the win, striking out five with two walks, no hits and one earned run.
Schoonover went the next 1 2/3-innings, striking out one with one walk, one hit and one earned run. Kitchen pitched the final third.
