Wyalusing sweeps Canton on the track

The Canton boys' and girls' track and field teams lost to Wyalusing in NTL action. The girls fell 104-40, the boys lost 103-45.

For the boys Connor Foust won the 100 in 12.2, with Caiden Williams (111-feet, 6-inches) winning the discus. Williams also won the triple jump in 38-feet, 8-inches, as Isaiah Niemczyk (36-feet, 5-inches) was third.

Hunter Ostrander (2:30) was second in the 800, with Williams (5-feet, 2-inches) second in the high jump. Foust (17-feet, 9 1/2-inches) was second in the long jump, with Niemczyk (17-feet, 1-inch) third.

Williams (38-feet, 2 1/2-inches) and Derek Atherton-Ely (35-feet, 11-inches) went second and third in the shot put. Dylan Smith (1:05) was third in the 300 hurdles, and also took third in the 1600 in 6:26.

Niemczyk (55.6) and Mason Shultz (59.7) were second and third in the 400. Hunter Huffman (17:03) was third in the 3200.

Atherton-Ely (120-feet, 8-inches) was second in the javelin.

The Canton 4x400 relay won in 3:56.

On the girls’ side Regan Kelley (67-feet, 3-inches) and Brittany Mosher (63-feet, 11-inches) went 1-2 in the discus, as Laci Niemczyk (13.2) was second in the 100. Niemczyk (1:07) won the 400, and was second in the 200 in 30.0.

Kelley also won the shot put in 28-feet, 10-inches, as Lauren Gleckner (20-feet, 10-inches) was third. Gleckner (66-feet, 6-inches) was second in the javelin.

Camille McRoberts (2:43) won the 800, and took second in the 1600 in 6:00.5. Kaydee Larcom (12-feet, 1-inch) was second in the long jump.
