Big 6th inning lifts Canton over Wellsboro

Canton used a 6-run fifth inning to pull away from Wellsboro, 16-11, during non-league softball action.

The game was tied at 10 when the big inning came.

Emmi Ward (3-for-4) had a double with three runs scored, while Molly Ward (3-for-4) scored twice, and knocked in a run.

Madison Hulbert (2-for-4) had a double with 3-RBI, Rylin Graham (2-for-3) scored three times, Alexis Baldwin (2-for-4) scored a run and knocked one in, and Keri Wesneski (2-for-4) scored twice, and had an RBI.

Taryn Acla (1-for-4) scored a run, as Mae Kinner (1-for-3) had a double with two runs scored. Sara Saar (1-for-2) also scored twice, and knocked in a run.

Wesneski got the win, striking out two, with 10 hits, 11 runs, and three walks.
