Canton's Riley Parker took sixth at the PIAA Wrestling Championships, while teammate Hayden Ward came up just short of the medals.

In the semifinals Parker was pinned by Frazier's Rune Lawrence, the eventual state champion, in 3:43, before falling to Glendale's Suds Dubler 5-0 in the fifth round of consolations.

During the medal round Parker was pinned by Southern Columbia's Garrett Garcia in 2:36.

Ward opened with a 6-4 loss to Chestnut Ridge's Trevor Weyandt in the first round, but then came back to beat Jefferson-Morgan's Chase Frameli 7-3 in the first round of consolations.

In the second round of consolations he won 6-4 over Burrell's Shawn Szymanski, but then was pinned by Penns Valley’s Ty Watson in 5:43 during the blood round.
