Canton fell to Jersey Shore, 23-0, for their first football loss of the season.
The Warriors held up well enough defensively, holding a Bulldogs team that hasn’t scored less than seven touchdowns in a game coming into the week to just three, but their offense was out gained 237-110 in total yardage. Canton was also just 1-for-16 throwing the ball as a team.
Canton stopped Jersey Shore on their ensuing drive, but the Bulldogs found pay dirt on their next two. The first was a 12-yard run from Brady Jordan at the 6:57 mark of the first quarter, the second was a 44-yard Hadyn Packer run with 3:29 on the clock. Breck Miller made both PAT's for the 14-0 lead.
It stayed that way through the half, until Jersey Shore's first possession in the third quarter. Cooper Peacock hauled in a catch, broke a tackle, and went 40-yards to pay dirt. Miller’s kick was good, and 21-0 with 9:15 left.
Jersey Shore's final score came with 3:25 on the clock in the fourth when Canton was called for intentional grounding in the end zone to make it 23-0.
