Canton got big games from Ben Fitch and Michael Davis in their 42-13 win over North Penn-Mansfield.
Fitch ran for 117 yards and a score on 15 carries while going 9-for-12 in the pocket for 121 yards and a score.
Davis ran for 91 yards and three scores on 11 carries while hauling in three passes for 76 yards. He also had three tackles for loss on defense.
Hudson Ward had three carries for 11 yards with a touchdown, while Holden Ward had two carries for 20 yards. He also had two catches for six yards and a score.
Holden Ward opened up the scoring when he hauled in a 3-yard pass from Fitch in the end zone. Alexis McRoberts added the point after to make it 7-0 with 7:07 in the first quarter.
Fitch then ran in a touchdown from 11 yards out with 28 seconds left in the quarter. McRoberts added the PAT for the 14-0 lead.
Canton had three touchdowns in the second quarter, beginning with a Davis 64-yard run up the gut. McRoberts’ kick was good, and it was 21-0 with 10:45 left in the half.
Then with 2:30 left in the second Davis ran one in from three yards out. The point after was no good for the 27-0 lead.
Davis had the final score with 12 seconds to play, punching it in from a yard out. Hudson Ward ran in the 2-point conversion for the 35-0 halftime lead.
NPM would get two touchdowns in the second half to cut it to 35-13 but Canton had the final say as Hudson Ward ran it in from 12-yards out with 3:42 left in the game. McRoberts added the point after for the 42-13 final.
