Big 3rd Inning Leads Warriors Past CV, 5-4

Canton held off CV, 5-4, to stay undefeated in NTL baseball action.

The Warriors used a 4-run third inning to go up 5-0. CV cut it to 5-2 in the bottom half of the inning, then got two more in the fifth, but couldn't quite close the gap.

Holden Ward went four innings with six strikeouts, four walks, no hits, and two runs, one of which was earned. Zach Colton went the final three innings, striking out four with five hits, one walk, and two earned runs.

Holden Ward (2-for-4) had a double with a run scored at the plate with Ben Fitch (1-for-3) getting a double with 2-RBI and a run scored.

Michael Beers (1-for-3) had a double with an RBI as Colton (1-for-2) drove in a run and scored himself.

Mason Harold (1-for-3) had an RBI with Bailey Gardner (1-for-4) scoring, as Hudson Ward also crossed home.
