Lady Warriors Fall 12-2 To Athens

Canton softball dropped an NTL game to Athens, 12-2 in five innings.

Nevaeh Vroman (2-for-3) had a double with 2-RBI as Riley Gowin (1-for-2) and Tara Gilbert (1-for-3) both scored. Tiffany Acla (1-for-3) also had a hit.

Gilbert took the loss, striking out one with one walk, 11 hits, and 12 runs, seven of them earned.

In the fourth Gilbert led off with a single, then scored on Vroman’s double. Then in the fifth Vroman hit a 2-out single to score Gowin for Canton’s other run.
