Schoonover Takes 2nd At Districts, Becomes First Canton Golfer To Qualify For States

Izzie Schoonover made school history as the first Warrior to earn a state berth in golf as she took second at the District IV Class 2A Girls' Championships.

Schoonover took second by one stroke, shooting a 92 on the second day after carding a 103 on the first day to finish plus-49.

She shot a 43 with three birdies on the front nine, then carded a 49 on the back nine.
