Warriors Fall To Troy, 61-20, To Rival Troy In Old Shoe Game

Canton football fell to Troy, 61-20, in the Old Shoe during NTL football action.

They were down 40-0 at the half, and 47-0 before scoring early in the third quarter.

Ben Fitch was 9-for-15 for 134-yards with a touchdown and two picks, while Holden Ward was 3-for-3 for 23-yards.

Ward also had six carries for 35-yards, as Bailey Gardner had a rushing touchdown. Through the air Ward had six catches for 62-yards, while Aydin Holcomb added three catches for 72-yards and a score.

After falling down 47-0 Gardner got Canton on the scoreboard with an 80-yard kick-off return to the house. Alexis McRoberts added the point after.

Gardner then had a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter, while Fitch hit Holcomb for a 45-yard scoring strike. McRoberts went 1-for-2 for extra points.
