Canton boys' hoops lost to North Penn-Mansfield, 42-26, but played their best game of the season during NTL action Thursday.
The Warriors fell down 12-4 after one, but managed to keep it a 10-point game at the half.
The Tigers extended their lead in the third to 30-15, while the two teams were nearly even in the fourth, with NPM out scoring Canton 12-11.
Ryder Route had 11 points to lead the Warriors, including three 3-balls, as Monte Whitehead finished with five points.
Drew Holton, and Kix Carr had four points each, while Teyton Thompson rounded out the scorers with two.
Route had Canton's lone first quarter field goal, a 3-pointer, as they were down eight at the first horn.
In the second Whitehead had four points, with Route bagging another 3-pointer as the Warriors hung in there, down 21-11.
They had just two field goals in the third, but managed five in the fourth, behind four points from Carr.
Canton (0-6) will travel to CV on Tuesday.
