Warriors Fall To Austin In Opening Round of Galeton Tournament

Despite a big night by Ryder Route Canton fell to Austin, 42-32, during the first round of the Galeton Boys' Basketball Tournament.

The Warriors were up 15-13 at the break, but a 17-8 run in the third by Austin gave them control of the game and they didn't give it up.

Route hit five 3-balls en route to 19 points to lead Canton with Drew Holton netting four. Cooper Jennings scored three as Monte Whitehead, Leyton Thompson, and Jack Whitehead all had two points.

Brennan Ogden had 17 points to lead Austin with Tymber Nichols adding 13.

Canton will play in the consolation game on Saturday.
