Canton baseball fell to CV, 10-1, in their season opener.
The Warriors scored their lone run in the sixth, while CV had two runs in the first, second, and fourth, three in the fifth, and another in the sixth.
Reed Taylor (2-for-3) had an RBI, as Trapper Burr (1-for-3) also had a hit. Carson Castle scored their run.
Seven different Canton players saw the mound.
Daniel Inman started, and went an inning with two strikeouts, three hits, and two earned runs.
Taylor tossed the next two innings with two strikeouts, three walks, one hit, and two runs, one of which was earned.
Rylan Wesneski went an inning with one strikeout, one walk, one hit, and two earned runs, followed by Grant Jennings, who went two-thirds of an inning with two walks, one hit, and three earned runs.
Bailey Gardner tossed the next third of the inning, striking out one.
Castle pitched but didn’t record an out, allowing one earned runs with two walks.
Burr went the final two-thirds with one hit.
In the top of the sixth Canton loaded the bases with walks to Carson and Gardner, sandwiched around a Burr single.
Taylor then singled in Castle.
